Warranty

All ZCO products are handcrafted with the utmost care and undergo numerous tests as well as inspections prior to shipment.

In the highly unlikely event that a problem occurs with your ZCO riflescope, we offer a transferable lifetime warranty that covers mechanical and optical defects due to materials or workmanship under normal use for the life of the riflescope.

At our discretion, we will either repair or replace (with a product of the same or similar model) a defective product after prior thorough inspection.

Exceptions to this warranty include intentional misuse or abuse, unauthorized alterations or repairs, modification or destruction of the serial number, improper assembly, negligence in handling the product, and damage by fire, flood, or other natural disaster.

The electronic components built into this product are covered by a limited warranty of 2 years from the date of purchase. This includes defects due to materials or workmanship under normal use.

For ZCO assemblies and ZCO assembly accessories, we offer a warranty period of 90 days from the date of purchase covering mechanical defects due to materials or workmanship under normal use.

At our discretion, we will either repair or replace (with a product of the same or similar model) a defective product after prior thorough inspection.

Sending in the product for repairs

Follow the steps below to ensure timely service:

  1. remove any accessories (sunshades or similar).
  2. write down the serial number of your riflescope and keep it handy for possible inquiries.
  3. Describe the defect and include this document with the scope in the package.
  4. Place the ZCO product in a well-padded box and packed in a shipping carton. Secure your package adequately with tape. The original product box alone is not sufficient for shipping.
  5. return your product insured and with tracking number to the following address:

Frequently asked questions summarized and answered for you:

  1. with the rotating cap in the unlocked position, loosen the clamping screws, turn the rotating cap clockwise and align the zero mark with the reference line on the scope body.
  2. lightly tighten the clamping screws again and then push the rotating cap to the locked position to ensure proper engagement.
  3. Loosen the clamping screws of the rotating cap and retighten them again to max. 0.6 Nm. Your rotating cap now has proper engagement as well as alignment with the reference mark.

  1. set the parallax setting to infinity and the magnification of the scope to a low magnification.
  2. Loosen the diopter lock ring by turning it counterclockwise and rotate the eyepiece or diopter adjustment all the way in.
  3. Look through the scope at a light colored background such as a white wall or blue sky and quickly rotate the eyepiece counterclockwise until you see a crisp reticle. 4.
  4. Close your eye for about 4 seconds and look through the scope again at the light colored background. Make minor adjustments to the diopter adjustment if necessary. Do not look at the crosshairs for more than 1 second as your eye will begin to compensate.
  5. Repeat step 4 until you see a razor sharp reticle immediately after opening your eye. At this point, it is best to look at the fine detail parts of the crosshairs.
  6. Hold the eyepiece firmly and turn the retaining ring clockwise by hand until it is tight. Make sure that the diopter adjustment has not shifted.

CAUTION! The retaining ring must only be tightened lightly by hand. The threads can be damaged by overtightening.

  1. There is a Return2Zero (R2Z) built into the elevation adjustment. Once the elevation is set to "zero" at the bottom of the travel, you have the ability to adjust another 0.5 mil below that zero.

  1. There is a rotation stop built into the lateral adjustment that allows for an adjustment of 7 mils in either direction. A total of 20 mils are available internally and can be readjusted.

  1. To change the battery, make sure the illumination is off and hold it in that position by hand. Then unscrew the battery cover with the coin slot. The CR2032 battery is visible and can be easily pulled out of the scope. Replace the battery with a new good quality CR2032 battery in the correct orientation and screw the battery cover back in place. Be careful NOT to over tighten the cover- hand tight only. Be sure to always turn off the illumination after use.

  2. Unscrew the battery compartment cover.
  3. Slide the pin of the switch marked R / G to position R if you want the crosshair color to be red, or to position G if you want the crosshair color to be green.
  4. Reinsert the battery and screw the battery compartment cover shut.
